ABC/Randy HolmesLogic has confirmed reports that he and his wife Jessica Andrea have split.
In a message posted on his socials, the rapper — whose latest mixtape, Bobby Tarantino II, debuted at #1 on the chart — wrote, “After two years of marriage, we have come to the loving conclusion that we are much better as friends….we would appreciate your respect and privacy on this issue.”
Offering an explanation for the split, the Grammy-nominated rapper, born Sir Robert Bryson Hall II, wrote, “It’s very simple: it just didn’t work out. There is no anger involved. No fighting, no cheating, no nothing. We love each other and will continue to support each other for the rest of our lives.”
He then asked his fans not to be sad, but to be happy “that we could peacefully end this chapter of our relationship, beginning a new one of love and happiness.”
“There are no sides, there is just us,” he concluded. “Two people who loved each other in marriage and will continue to love each other for the rest of our lives.”
Jessica quoted the post on her Twitter and wrote, “I love you Bobby and love to all the fans!” Logic replied, “I love you Jess! You’re my best friend.”
Meanwhile, Logic’s celebrating the fact that 10 songs from the new album have all debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. He’s only the 15th artist in history to chart 10 or more songs on the Hot 100 in a week. Among the others: The Beatles, David Cook, Beyoncé, Drake, Ed Sheeran, The Weeknd and Taylor Swift.
Here are the songs and their chart positions:
#29 “Everyday,” with Marshmello

#68 “Overnight”
#74 “Midnight”
