ABC/Paula LoboFollowing her appearance at last Sunday’s Grammy Awards, Kesha will make her presence known at this Sunday’s Super Bowl…but in a subtle way.
Kesha’s song “Boogie Feet,” from her Grammy-nominated album Rainbow, is the soundtrack to Pepsi’s new Super Bowl ad. Called “This is the Pepsi,” it celebrates generations of pop culture Pepsi ad moments. The :30 second version, which will air during the game, features brief clips of both Britney Spears and Michael Jackson, both of whom starred in Pepsi ads in the past.
The longer version, which is only available online, features slightly longer looks at both stars. For example, in a diner, the cook turns to look at a TV which is displaying footage of Britney’s 2000 “Joy of Pepsi…for those who think young” ad. “This is the Pepsi that Britney once popped,” says the announcer, who just happens to be Jimmy Fallon.
Next, we see some kids on the street looking at a phone displaying footage of Michael Jackson. Fallon adds, “And this one is for the King of Pop.”
The ads also feature Cindy Crawford and her son Presley Gerber, as well as race car driver Jeff Gordon.
